Economic Development and Travel & Tourism Week
Let’s celebrate how economic development and tourism work together to make Gilbert a vibrant community.
National Economic Development Week, hosted by the International Economic Development Council, and National Travel and Tourism Week, hosted by the U.S. Travel Association, both aim to celebrate the value that each line of service adds to communities around the world. The Gilbert Office of Economic Development believes that both lines of service support our vibrant community by enhancing the quality of life for residents, the creation of jobs and economic opportunity, and the enhancement of wealth in our community. So we have joined together with Mayor Jenn Daniels to proclaim May 6-12, 2018 Economic Development and Travel & Tourism Week in Gilbert! See the Proclamation and press release here.
We are celebrating in a number of ways to spread the word on how tourism and economic development work together in our community. Join us at an event or follow along on social media as we share some of our favorite facts, tourism destinations, and business resources.
